Euopean young musician winner of 2000
, Philipp Kopmajer is considered as one of the best drummers of his age.
Born in Schladming (Austria) on August 17th 1984, he started playing drums at the age of four and began to perform professionally early in his age.

After finishing school he moved to Graz, where he studied drums at the "Art university of music".


He regularly collaborates with some of the most prominent names in Jazz, as for instance: Johnny Griffin (USA), Philip Catherine (BL), Bosco Petrovic (HR), James Morrison (AUS), Lee Harper (AUT), Richie Cole (USA - Buddy Rich Big Band), Tony Momrelle (UK - Incognito), Larry Coryell (USA), Ira Sullivan (USA), Bobby Shew (USA), Jiggs Wiggham (UK), Peter Weniger (GER), Bodil Niska (NOR), David Gazarov (RUS) and others.

Philipp's interest in education has taken him around Europe performing master classes. Some of these master classes include the "Jazz is Back Master Class" in Croatia (2006) or the Jazz Workshop in Tulln (2007).
